Petersburg ISD Names New Elementary Principal
Buffalo Nation would like to welcome Krista Ellison as our new elementary principal. Ms. Ellison comes to us from Happy ISD where she served faithfully with a heart full of passion for her staff, students and community. She brings new ideas and a track record of excellence with her.
"Dear Petersburg Community, Parents, Staff, and Students,
My name is Krista Ellison. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with you in the role of
Elementary Principal for the upcoming school year of 2023-2024!
I am a small-town girl from the rural community of Lockney, Texas so I know all too well the many
benefits and experiences to be gained from a small school. I have two rambunctious boys, Karson (7) and
Kreyton (5) who keep me busy. Between them, we spend much of our time playing golf and baseball,
fishing, and getting into mischief. My family and I are very excited to be moving back in this direction. It is
already starting to feel like home!
In this short time, I’ve already had the opportunity to meet many staff members, students, and
community members. I couldn’t be more impressed with the caliber of the people in this community.
Petersburg ISD is a school of prominent reputation and I am excited to be a part of that continuous
growth and success.
I look forward to partnering with you in your child’s educational experience. The highlight of this job is
interacting with students and watching them grow beyond their expectations. In the coming months, I
look forward to getting to know each of YOU!
Thank you for welcoming my family and I! 2023-2024 is going to be an EXCELLENT school year!"
Go Buffs!!
